Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Evolveify actually stores, where it goes, and how to have it removed. It describes the current site only, and it is written to be accurate rather than reassuring: where something is uncertain, it says so.
1. What We Store, and When
Forms store the fields listed below, and nothing is spread from the rest of the request. Separately, the live site measures usage, which involves a pseudonymous visitor identifier, and our hosting providers keep their own connection logs — so we do not claim that nothing identifying is recorded until you submit something. See "Usage measurement" below.
Newsletter. Your email address, an optional first name, any topics you tick, the page you subscribed from, your subscription status, and the user-agent string your browser sends. Topics are recorded as stated interests; they do not currently filter what you are sent.
Contact form. Your name, email address, an optional subject, your message, and the user-agent string your browser sends. Messages are stored for the desk to read. They are not forwarded to an inbox and no reply time is promised.
Team waitlist. Your email address, the team size you pick, and which page you submitted from.
AI early access. Your email address, an optional first name, an optional note, which page you submitted from, and the user-agent string your browser sends.
Abuse protection. To stop one source flooding the forms, we store short-lived counters keyed by a one-way keyed hash of your email address and of your network address. Those counter records never contain the raw email or network address — which is a statement about those records only, not about the rest of this page: a form submission does store the address you typed. A keyed hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous: anyone holding the key and a candidate address can recompute the same key, so we treat these records as personal data. They carry only a category, a counter and an expiry, and a scheduled job removes them shortly after they expire.
Usage measurement. On the live site (evolveify.com) we measure how pages are used: the page visited, the kind of device, a randomly generated session and visitor identifier, and events such as opening a dispatch or clicking a subscribe button. That is a privacy-focused analytics provider plus a first-party copy of the same events in our own database. It is not linked to your email address or to anything you submit in a form, and it does not run in preview or development.
2. How It Is Used
Newsletter addresses are used to send the newsletter. Form submissions are used to answer you or to contact you about the thing you asked for. The abuse counters are used only to refuse excessive submissions. Nothing here is sold, rented, or used for advertising, profiling or automated decisions about you.
3. Who Else Processes It
Beehiiv handles newsletter delivery and the subscriber list. Supabase hosts the database and the server functions behind the forms. Cloudflare sits in front of the site as its network and delivery layer and, as part of that, sees request metadata such as your network address. Each has its own privacy terms, which govern their handling of the data; we do not publish compliance claims on their behalf.
4. How Long It Is Kept
Abuse counters are removed shortly after they expire, within hours at most. Form submissions and newsletter records are kept until you ask for them to be deleted; there is no automatic schedule for them, and claiming one would be untrue. Deleting a record removes it from the live database, but database backups retain earlier copies until those backups age out.
5. Cookies, Analytics and On-device Data
We set no advertising cookies and use no third-party advertising trackers. The site records its own usage events — which page was viewed, which link was used, coarse device type, and a random per-visit identifier — to understand what is read. These events are not tied to your name or email address. Cloudflare additionally produces aggregate traffic statistics as part of serving the site.
Your reading watchlist and your Coach settings are stored in your own browser, on your device. They are not uploaded, and clearing your browser storage erases them.
6. Your Rights and How to Use Them
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. To ask for any of these, or to have your details deleted, email alex@evolveify.com and say what you want removed. Every newsletter email also carries an unsubscribe link.
